Think On These Things ~ The Good Shepherd

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep.
So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away.
Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—
just as the Father knows me and I know the Father —
and I lay down my life for the sheep. "
John 10:11-15

It's such a comfort to know that the Lord is always and will always be there for us, guiding us and protecting us. Thanks for sharing this verse!

So thankful we have a good Shepherd to walk through every step of life with us. Thanks for the reminder. I feel His presence as I write this. Hugs ~ Mary

Such a cute photo. Comforted by the fact that the Lord is our Shepherd and that He knows His sheep... and His sheep know Him.

Oh, yes...our Good Shepherd...how He loves us...when we are so unlovable...I love Him so!

This Scripture is so special to me! I love the imagery... it helps me see the care of the Good Shepherd. Nothing gets through the gate unless the Shepherd allows it.

Thank you for linking to Think on These Things!

Beautiful scripture. Never tire of seeing the lambs, and knowing how much we need a Shepherd, just like they do.
