Mosiac Monday - Family Moments

We've been enjoying a full house lately, with Erin and her family staying with us until their house was ready, and soon after they left, a visit from my husband's father, brother and nephew. We are back to being empty-nesters now, but we really enjoyed the family fun we had together. (Eli will not be happy with me someday when he is older and sees the photo of him in Cousin Maya's boots! Oh, and in his diaper!) The snow is for real; the guys took a drive to the mountains.

 On my last visit to Minneapolis, my daughter, grandson and I took a walk along Lake Harriet. These are a few of the beautiful homes in the area.

Mosaic Monday - Happy Birthday, Maya!

Our sweet little granddaughter Maya turned 2 today! Maya is the daughter of our daughter Sara and her husband Mark, and they live just a few miles from us. We celebrated her birthday at our house with a lunch she asked for, cheesy noodles (macaroni and cheese), peas and grilled chicken, with blueberries for dessert. After her nap, she blew out the candles on her birthday cake and opened presents. Here are a couple of mosaics of Maya's big day!

Sara baked the cake, and the snake is from Cousin Eli!

Maya tried out her new tricycle and the swingset slide even though it was a chilly, breezy day, and you can tell by her good-bye photo in the car that she had a wonderful birthday !

P.S. I hope to get caught up with visiting blogs now that I am home from Minnesota. Our MN family moves back to MT in 2 weeks!!

Mosaic Monday - Baby Soft

Life is so precious, and children truly are a heritage from the Lord. These family photos are of our 3 JEMs, (Jack, Eli and Maya), as well as our 2 daughters, Erin and Sara, in the middle photo at very young ages.

"For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.

My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!"
-Psalm 139:13-17
