Word-Filled Wednesday ~ God's Wings

I have always turned to these verses when I needed God's comfort and to know the security of trusting Him with my life:

I will say to the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His feathers,
and under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
Psalm 91:2-5

It is such a beautiful word picture to view God as covering me with His feathers, and finding safety under his wings.  And I trust Him to do so for my family, also. This doesn't mean that everything will be perfect in our lives, and we will and do have times of strugggle, be it health, death of a loved one or the loss of a job,  but God promises to "never leave us or forsake us", and I take Him at His word.

Please visit Christy at Critty Joy for more Word Filled Wednesday.

Blessings Laurie...What a beautiful photo of an eagle and offspring accompanied bu the perfect verse for God's comfort! I guess I needed this for the last 3 months because I've been praying Psalm 91! I'm so thankful that He is my Refuge and covers me under His wings! Thank you for the encouragement.

Oh Laurie, I love that picture. Isn't that a wonderful verse. Don't you feel loved and sheltered when you read it. Blessings on this WFW, dear friend.

I am with Cathy, love the picture and the verse.
Thank you for coming by my blog.
I was almost discouraged last night after taking the time to go through approx 35 blogs and make a comment and notice that less than half those people make a comment back.
Maybe that says something that needs to be addressed in me, in that I could be doing something to get something back....however it is such a blessing to really look at each of the WFW's and comment.
I think some of the participants are missing out on the joy of really joining and sharing together.
There.......LOL....I dared to say it.
