(my photo of our Lucy )
Contentment and peace do not come easy for any of us, but as we trust in Him and grow in His Word, it does come. And God always keeps His promises - that is true wealth!
Keep your lives free from the love of money
and be content with what you have,
because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."

lori
I really enjoyed this post.
Such great pairings! I LOVE the doggie one! Smiles!
Lauri ... as a photographer, I loved these. I've been visiting various blogs and am just overwhelmed with the messages. Thank you. And I love the dog.
What a terrific post to remind us of this thought-provoking and inspirational Bible verse. Thank you :)
Wonderful post! So true money won't buy contentment, peace, or happiness. Knowing Jesus as Savior makes us the wealthiest people on earth.
It's all about the focus, isn't it? When I focus on what matters, none of that other stuff, well, matters. But when I'm focused on that other stuff . . . . I'm unsatisfied.
He really is all we need!
I love your WFW. That is such a wonderful promise from God. Blessings ~
This is such a great WFW post.
What awesome photos to go with your scripture selection!
Love this post! What great illustrations for these verses!
Oh, and thank you for your comment on my post...I will dip my toes in for you...it was 105 degrees here (Texas) on Sunday, can you believe!?
ooooo i like those! i might to try my own version of the money one!
happy WFW!
Wonderful graphic images for these verses. The unconditional love from a puppy and the money in the shape of a heart. Oh I don't want that to be me.
A wonderful reminder, Laurie!
Wonderful Word-Filled.
I love the picture of Lucy by the window. The scripture goes with it quite well.
My "puppy" loves to sit by the window and look out. He loves to just watch the world. Unless it's the UPS driver, then he starts barking and runs to the door. lol!
What a wonderful warning and precious promise from God's Word! I love the picture of your dog, too. We have a yellow lab who is a real sweetheart!
I read in your profile about how sweet your Lucy is with your dear grandchildren. I like too how you call your grandchilren your GEMs - love those acrostics with names. I just made one from my oldest son's name to share with friends and family at his high school grad picnic this weekend. God's good! Have a great weekend and thanks for commenting on my book review and for your encouraging words!
Beautiful pics to go with the verses!
Contentment is so much better than being racked with greed and covetousness!
