Praise the Lord in This Moment - From the Inside Out

Extravagant Grace

Do you enjoy a good challenge? Sometimes that is what it takes to get me going, and today I am joining eLisa @ Extravagant Grace to make a commitment to give thanks and praise God in the moment. So often I go about my day without praising Him for what He is doing in my life at that moment. But there are times when I do thank Him and praise him for even the small, incidental things that occur, and I want to purpose to be more mindful of this.

Will you join eLisa in making a 31-day commitment to intentionally give thanks and praise to the Lord in the moment? In eLisa's words, "We're going to open our ears to hear his voice, and open our eyes to see His work. We going to let Him soften our hearts to respond to His love and grace and mercy, and pass that on to others. And we're going to testify to God's power and sovereign hand in every situation."

If you would like to participate, just click here.

Today, I am participating for the first time, and eLisa invites us to do two things:

1. Search the word PRAISE on Biblegateway.com, and share a verse or
passage that strikes you first or encourages your heart in this moment.

I am sharing Psalm 106:48:

Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Let all the people say, "Amen!"
Praise the LORD.
Psalm 106:48

2. Share a link to a favorite praise song!

We sang this song this morning during
our time of worship and praise,
and it is a big favorite of mine.
The message of God's everlasting light
shining in His mercy and grace
does indeed cause my heart
to cry out in praise of our Lord!

From the Inside Out (Everlasting) Hillsong United

From the Inside out

A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame

My heart and my soul, I give You control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise, become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame

My heart, my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame

And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out, O my soul cries out

My Soul cries out to You
My Soul cries out to You
to You, to You

My heart, my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame

And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out, O my soul cries out

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out, O my soul cries out
From the inside out, O my soul cries out
From the inside out, O my soul cries out.

BLESSINGS LAURIE...Praise the Lord!
Wonderful choice of song and Psalm!

Beautiful introduction to purposing in your heart to praise! I am so delighted to see people joining eLisa in this PRAISE challenge! I'm praising but did not officially commit just linked today though I'm trying to encourage many to do this. I'm finding it does make such a difference in each day. Thanks for encouraging me with your words here & over at The Power of Your Love!

Hope more join in the PRAISE!!!

What a wonderful song of praise! Is there such thing as a "bad" song from Hillsong? :) I love it when people abandon themselves and lift their hands in surrender to the Lord.
