It wasn't until I had posted this picture and verse that I realized that my son-in-law's motorcycle was showing in the picture, and Eli was probably looking at it! The boys love the cycle, but it was for sale and recently sold, so it will be gone soon. The things of this world do not last, but when we seek Jesus, we receive that which will never leave, life everlasting with our Lord!

Wow, very simple.....yet very profound. PERFECT picture and truth to meditae on. Thank you for sharing! :)
Such a sweet picture...and one of my favorite scriptures....
That is such a cute picture. You are so right about the things of this world.
Hope you had a wonderful Word filled Wednesday. I love participating in that and hope I do again soon.
Lovely photo and the bike is an interesting element.
That verse was socked at me this week by the HS and I want to know what He means by Ask, Seek Knock...in my life right now.
I had carried in groceries alone and was far from well and stretched beyond my abilities. I have lived alone, apart from time with my Mum, since '82 and now are the years I need that person who promised commitment to me while he lived. Mental illness caused him to chose to leave me.....and I waited many years in faith.
Now humanly I would say ....I am to old to ask, seek Knock for a helpmate to walk the last 10-15 yrs or whatever I may have left.
As I started to say....is the helpmate like that bike....lovely but not what He wants me to focus on. The years have largely passed when I consider this subject for prayer but that verse hit so hard on the night when I was so needing another.
I need to keep listening...I do not know what that verse means to me in these areas of my life right now.
Sorry for the epistle..but it was such a real verse this week.
This is just so perfect...what an image and what a verse...and what a reminder in the motorcycle that the "STUFF" will not last...
I'm blessed to have stopped by!
peace,
lori
